The story goes like this :)

As an MBA aspirant, i have always tried to do things which will enhance my communication and leadership skill. And what's better than giving a presentation in front of all my team members of IBM.So i grabbed this opportunity with both the hands. This presentation was a part of our weekly knowledge sharing session wherein each team member choose a topic of his/her own liking. The topic may be technical, functional or anything related to project.Incidentally i was to give this presentation in second week of February as per the schedule, but i got this small punishment of taking it this week because i reached late in the same session last week.[No grudges,Sooner the better :)].So here i go, I chose my topic an intriguing one, viz. Email-etiquette, office meeting and teleconference meeting etiquette.Use of E-mail is omnipresent in corporate world. There are hundreds of little things which need to be taken care of, while sending an official mail. Generally people are over-confident about their writing skills and hence make silly mistakes while drafting such mails.which could have been easily avoided with a little care.It took me almost 4 hours in preparing those 2 topics.I started at around 7:30 pm in evening.Ten cricket was showing India-South Africa 1st ODI.As a die hard fan of Indian cricket,i couldn't have missed that match, So i had no other option but to sail in 2 boats at a time.I started working for PPT in front of TV watching the match, which reduced my efficiency to less than half, otherwise it was a job of a merge 1 to 2 hours. My flatmates bought me some spicy parathas meanwhile.India faired badly contrary to me. I did a  fantastic job. That's what i thought at that point of time. Finally i slept at around 1 A.M.,after having some light conversation with my flatmates.

Usually i get up at around 6 in morning and hit the gym by 6:30,but i decided to take a sound sleep that day and got up at around 8:30 in the misty morning of Pune.I took a shower, had my breakfast and reached office by 10.Its just at around 4.5 kms ride from my home. The wind was chilly and i was shivering, riding my bike, gosh!!! i should have had my jacket on.
I have presented many a times in my college, still i was a little nervous as i had to present it in front of  around 15 guys who were richly experienced in their own domain.I did some homework before starting it.I planned an activity at the end of the presentation, The idea of this activity struck me in the morning.During my classroom training sessions of IBM,we had such sessions daily followed by some fun activities, which worked as a stress-buster for us after a long engaging session. We generally started the session once everyone turned up.So i started at around 11:15,after a delay of around 15 minutes because of my colleague and dear friend 'Mayur'.He is a  hard working guy who is always ready to help others, but 'punctuality' is a word he has never heard of.(No offense Mayur).I started hesitantly, but gained my confidence as proceeded. There were some hiccups in between, but overall it went very smooth. It lasted for around 20 minutes.Just after this presentation i started the activity.I distributed the print out of the paper to everyone, which had 4 sample emails. The task was to read each of the mail and rank them as the best,2nd ,3rd best and worst. The idea was to revise the presentation and apply it in the practical scenario. The time constraint was 10 minutes.I had announced a Dairy milk for the winner and the runner up,which made the participant baptized in their papers.I had only 2 correct answers at the end, which came from my tech-lead Ashok and friend Wisam.
My presntation was appreciated,as the activity was followed by a round of applause by all the attendees. It was certainly a feel good for me.The best comment came from my Project manager.Such an encouraging fellow he is, always believes in reward for performance.

Here, i am posting the link to both the presentations and the activity.Hope you can reap some benefit out of it.
